Apostle J. L. Hood

Head Pastor

Apostle J. L. Hood honorably served in the United States Armed Forces and has achieved notable academic accomplishments, including Dean’s List recognition and National Honor Society membership. She holds a Master’s degree in Pastoral Counseling, a Bachelor of Science in Psychology, and an Associate of Science in General Education, along with certifications in case management, substance abuse, and marriage and family counseling.

Apostle Hood began her faithful walk with God under the late Pastor James Tolbert. In 1980, she accepted her call to ministry under the late Pastor Joseph Cunningham. Through her obedience, God birthed within her the vision for The Body of Christ Cathedral, which officially opened on August 8, 1993, in Faison, North Carolina.

Apostle Hood is the Founder and Prelate of Worldwide Fellowship of Believers and has established and overseen ministries in North Carolina, South Carolina, and Georgia. Anointed to preach, teach, intercede, and encourage leaders and believers alike, she has ministered throughout the United States as well as in Jamaica, Canada, and Germany. Her vision is to take the Gospel worldwide, make disciples, restore the broken, and set the captive free through Christ Jesus.
